D. C. Offutt, Jr., and Cheryl A. Eifert have been elected as fellows in The Litigation Counsel of America (LCA), a trial lawyer honorary society composed of less than one-half of one percent of American lawyers. Fellowship in the LCA is highly selective and by invitation only. Fellows are selected based upon effectiveness and accomplishment in litigation, both at the trial and appellate levels, and superior ethical reputation. Of the 3500 fellows of the LCA, only thirteen are members of the West Virginia State Bar.
D. C. Offutt, Jr., has tried nearly 100 jury trials to verdict in his thirty year career as a trial lawyer in the states of West Virginia, Kentucky, Ohio, Maryland and Virginia. Over half of those trials have involved defending physicians and hospitals in complex medical malpractice cases, often involving catastrophic damages. He is licensed to practice law in West Virginia and Kentucky.
Cheryl A. Eifert has tried over 25 jury trials to verdict in her twenty-five year career as a trial lawyer in West Virginia and Kentucky. A majority of her trials have involved the defense of medical malpractice claims against physicians , nurses, pharmacists, and hospitals. Ms.Eifertis licensed to practice law in West Virginia, Ohio, and Kentucky.
